the rooster bar review

The last time we went it was a lovely day and when I approached the bar to order coffees to take outside she barked at me "what table" and when I replied "oh we're going outside, haven't got a table yet" she stared into space and muttered "I need a table number". Don't know her name but she obviously doesn't like her job as all of us (and other friends we've spoken to) have come across her and she is certainly a "jobsworth", not pleasant at all.

The only fly in the ointment is one member of staff who we've encountered a few times. The times we've been the staff have been accommodating on making us up a table for 6, no problem. As you can't book it's best to get there fairly early for lunch. As we live fairly locally, we visit the Roosters bar quite often for lunch, to meet up with friends. On every occasion we have found that you can't fault the food, a great choice and quite reasonable.
